Rock Lee's History
Lee was born and raised in Japan. A tragic car crash took both his parents from him when he was three years old, and he had no other family that would accept him.
As such, Lee spent his life growing up in Konoha's Little Leaf Orphanage. The carers there were mostly women, and as such, Lee has some strange quirks and habbits.
Never adopted because of his low intelligence and less than stunning looks, Lee spend his entire childhood without ever seeing another home beyond the orphanage. His school was one that all the orphans attended, and as such, even there he could not escape its influence.
Lee's childhood was happy, but marred by the fact that he had no-one who truely cared for him and him alone. As he grew older, he took to caring for the younger children, acting as a big brother towards them. When he turned seventeen, with no money and nowhere to go, the carers fought to keep Lee in the orphanage as an unofficial carer. This was allowed. He stayed for a further four years, working as well as going to school so he could earn enough money to go to university and prove his worth to the world.
Now, that time has come.

Personality
Personality; Lee's upbringing has left him with various stange quirks. He is almost insanely shy about seeing other people's bodies, or about them seeing his own. He craves physical contact, but is afraid to inniciate it. He never uses contractions when he writes and is very polite in everything he does.
However, Lee is also stubborn, determined, pasionate and loyal. He believes in true love and romance, as well as disciplining himself for his mistakes by doing physical tasks, such as push ups or laps. This was, again, an influence of the orphanage, where one of the trainers encouraged him to 'punish' himself in a way that would benefit his body, rather than harm it, as he had been doing.
Lee is also naive to the point of stupidity when it comes to sexual innuendos, common terms of use the sexual acts themselves. The basics are literally all they know. He, until he comes to Sarutobi, had never had a kiss, a date, and had only ever had one crush.
